With the new Sony XBR 4 & 5 landing in stores what will Samsung have in store to compete with the new XBR’s? The Samsung 71 series are the main sets that will be competing against Sony’s new line. The 71 series will also include 120Hz rating which allows the “judder” effect of fast motions to be cleaned up. The dynamic contrast ratio touts 25,000:1 compared to the 18,000 XBR. Both sets include more or less the same things. For people who do have large amounts of light entering their room the 71 series will include a semi-glossy screen very similar to the Samsung 65 series. Even though the screen does have a glare screen it does not compare to the glare that is resulted on plasmas. Most people since day one on televisions have dealt with glare on old CRT’s but keep this in mind about the Samsung 71 series. This clear gloss screen does allow for exceptional picture quality. I’ll be posting a comparison blog as soon as I get the chance to have these two sets next to each other.
Will Samsung bring down the XBR when it comes to the 71 series against the Sony XBR 4/5? Comment and let us know what you think!

During the summer, aren’t there many days when you’re out hanging out by the pool and feel like something is missing? You have a drink in your hand and you’re just sitting back enjoying the weather. All you need is your favorite music in the background. Well, many people don’t realize that without much stress you could have some speakers outside by the pool or patio. You don’t have to ever worry again about bringing out your old boom box that takes about 12 batteries to power on its own. All it takes is having a decent A/V receiver with multi-zone in the living room and running wires. You could also get a cheap stereo receiver out in the patio to power them. The main brand of outdoor speaks I’d suggest are the Boston Acoustic. They have many models but Voyager Rock speakers are what blend in perfectly anywhere outside. They literally look like rocks and hold up to the weather like you couldn’t imagine. Stop by any local home entertainment department and ask them which would be the easiest way to set yourself up with some nice outdoor speakers for your nice relaxation time by the pool. You won’t regret it especially when you got some friends over and blaring some music while you out enjoy the outdoors.

Hibiscus
Taken by: E. McCoppin
The Hibiscus flower is the state flower of Hawaii. It is a very beautiful flower that loves tropical weather much like Hawaii’s but will not do well in cold weather. They come in practically every color imaginable.
I recently planted a Hibiscus plant and the above picture is the result of the beautiful blooms I receive from it. In Florida it gets plenty of sunshine and since we are in the rainy season right now watering it is not an issue. It does not require much maintenance and is a very beautiful addition to my front yard. I hope to add a few more Hibiscus plants to my collection soon.
